At Thorn Grove we see the whole family

Thorn Grove Christian Church takes a holistic approach to how we care for and minister to families. We believe that whether you are 8 days old or 98 years old you are an important part of our community of believers. Families are all unique and special in their own ways and we do our very best to honor and see that in our community. Children and students are seen, heard, and known at Thorn Grove and are incorporated into our weekly gathering every Sunday. We do our best to care for both parents and caregivers alongside the young people they love and care for in the way Jesus would.

Greenhouse Kids

Greenhouse Kids is for newborns to 5th grade and happens on Sunday mornings during our worship gatherings. Our kids gather in three different spaces. We offer nursery for ages newborn-2, we have our Seedlings group for our pre-K kids ages 3-6, and finally for our elementary kids we have our Sprouts group. Each of these groups uses lessons, activities, books, and music to bring them into God’s story at their specific developmental stage. We believe that our kids aren’t just the future of the church but are the church today. We see each child as a full person made in the image of God and strive to lead them in the ways of Jesus.

The Grove

The Grove is our group for high school and middle school students. We invite students to gather with us on Sunday nights to grow together and share in each others lives. Throughout the year we host events like movie nights, bowling, lake days, hiking, and serve days as we grow in community together. We empower our middle and high school students to take active roles in the church by serving our church community in a multitude of ways. We encourage them to see the story of their own life and were God story is working within their own.
